Furniture Series; lilla ateljen / 2011.09.-2012.06.

Comfortable, cozy, simple, bright and inspiring. This is how I want my work space to be. I found an almost ideal place at my previous school, Capellagården. A small house called ‘lilla ateljen’ which was used as an atelier by the painter William Nording (1884-1956) who was the central figure in the artist community ‘vicklebyskolan’.
I decided to create a furniture series dedicated to the house ‘lilla ateljen’ as my exam project. I designed a set of furniture for the house and carpentered 4 items from the series. The furniture fits well in other spaces both public and at home.
